We cannot thank you enough for the deliveries of Plushis that we have been receiving since our article in Let’s Knit magazine. Almost every day, little friendly knitted faces arrive in parcels from all over the country from all the incredible people who have knitted them for us.
We were privileged to appear in Let’s Knit, which is where the original pattern (for a juggling ball) came from. From this pattern we developed the ‘Plushi’ – a little toy to help children who are in treatment for cancer feel better.
This is Jasmine, one of the first 100.
These little toys have been going through MRI scanners, for Radiotherapy and have been a great source of comfort for children who might be feeling a little bit sad or scared during treatment.
We are working closely with Bristol Children’s Hopsital who can get through 50 Plushis in just two days. To us, this serves to highlight the importance of raising money to beat cancer sooner.
